I am an archer and my 5.5-year-old son has been bugging me for his very own bow so he can be like mommy. So when this set popped up I had to get it him. This set consists of a bow with pull back handle and elastic string, 20 foam sucker darts in 2 colours, a round target, and 2 ammo wristbands. It also comes with a spare elastic string for the bow. The bow is made of pretty solid plastic and is a lovely colour and unique design. The darts are loaded into the front of the bow (1 at a time) and then you pull back the string handle and release in order to fire it (a bit like a nerf). The bow is easy to draw back and my son has no issues using it (unlike some of the toy gun options) and there is a lot of power in the shot. The darts can come a bit sharp if they hit bare skin so some supervision may be needed to ensure your kids aren’t firing them at people. I’d also recommend protective goggles as it does seem more powerful than the toy guns. The darts fly out well and will suction on to smooth surfaces like glass and tile. They also suction on to the included target board. This target is the only real downside to this product. It is made from some sort of foam and coated in a plastic film design which is peeling at the edges. It has a hole on the top to hang it up but there isn’t a hook or suckers etc included so you need something already or provide yourself. The board quality was enough to lose a star as this set was 18.99 at the time of order so I expected better quality. The price at time of order was way too high but I see it is now 12.99 which is more appropriate and has a 40 percent voucher on it making it a bargain! It’s compact enough to store and sturdy enough to last for years. My son LOVES it and gives it 5-stars himself.

A modern take on bows and arrows, with soft materials in use, has got to be a good thing. I had a quick play on this when it arrived (don’t tell the wife! 😊 ) to ensure it was safe to hand on to our grandchildren, naturally… Hey, old men need to have their fun as well! Yes, it was great fun, thank you. Having two different colours of arrows makes life a whole lot easier when counting scores. Holding the arrows in the wrist straps is a great idea, too. I understand why, but the target is, I believe, a little too small. It obviously has to fit inside the box. (Make a bigger box?) But if you’re outside, you potentially have even a light wind blowing the arrows off target. This could make it too frustrating to play, especially if the parents refuse permission to play indoors. Or the child plays too close to the target board. This is a brilliant, high-quality game that can help teach children some hand-eye coordination techniques. It might also keep them busy for a couple of hours, and give you hard-pressed parents time for a well-earned rest and a cuppa of your choice! The price at review of almost £11 is great, and offers excellent value for money. Five stars and highly recommended.

This bow and arrow set is a great way to get kids active and away from screens! It's easy enough for younger kids to use but still fun for older children too. My 6-year-old loved it right out of the box and spent hours aiming at windows and targets. The bow has a decent pull for a toy, and the quiver-style holder is a nice touch for keeping the arrows organized. I’m docking one star because the arrows could be a bit more durable — one bent after some rough play. Still, it’s a great value set that encourages hand-eye coordination and imaginative play. The plastic bullets are soft and safe, and they stick well to smooth surfaces like glass and the included target. It’s just as fun indoors as it is in the backyard. The materials are sturdy and clearly designed with kids in mind. Beyond the fun, it’s also sneakily educational, good for little one's hand-eye coordination. It’s a toy that encourages movement, focus, and creativity, which makes it a win in my book. While the bullets stick well to glass and the included target, they don’t adhere as strongly to painted walls or wood surfaces. Some of them lost the grip to even smooth surface after few uses.

I dont know how old the child is in the promo pic - but im guessing no older than about 2... because this bow is tiny. Wing tip to wing tip 35cm (13.5in). Handle to nose 27cm (10.5in) The target is even smaller at 20cm diam. (7.5in) There is no child going to be able to hit that unless its at point blank range. You get 20 darts in 2 colours, so maybe the law of averages states you might get the one dart to stick. It doesnt feel particularly rugged, but it is made of rigid plastic, so it would probably last the season. The current price is £18.99 (as of 02.04.25) but also there is a voucher for 40% off, which brings it down to something somewhat more reasonable - £11.40. Its not great but OK.

Nice item that our 6 year old got how to use straight away. The 'arrows' do stick to the target although I would have liked the target to be a bit bigger - it's quite a challenge given its dinner plate size. It does also make a loud 'clunk' noise when the arrow is released, would love a bit of sound dampening on this children's toy - but the kids love it and it keeps them entertained.

Ein tolles Spielzeug für Kinder von 4 bis 10 Jahre. Der Bogen lässt sich leicht über zwei Druckknöpfe ein- und ausklappen. Die Schussstärke ist nicht zu stark, selbst wenn eine Erwachsene Person damit schießt. Das gefällt mir sehr, da sich die Kinder nicht verletzten sollen. Schön ist auch, dass sich der Kopf drehen lässt und somit der Bogen für Rechts- oder Linkshänder gleichermaßen genutzt werden kann, oder man dreht den Kopf mittig, sodass man den Bogen wie eine Armbrust hält. Egal wie, die Kinder sind hell auf begeistert und haben viel Spaß damit. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist voll in Ordnung, wenn man bedenkt, dass derlei Spielzeug original von NERF gerne mal das doppelte Kosten. Als Tipp: Einfach ein Paar leere Toilettenpapierrollen bemalen und als Ziele aufstellen. Das bietet viel Spaß und man kann sich als Eltern ein bisschen unterhalten.
