The stringer is strong fabric band just over 2" wide, with a stitched "pocket" at one end which slides over the end of the bottom limb of the bow, holding the the string in place. There is a loop at the other end of the band which has a rubber lining to prevent the band slipping when placed over the top limb just below the string loop. I found that the width of the band allowed the feet to be placed easily when putting tension on the bow to slide the upper string loop into its groove. The bow can then be strung easily and safely.

This is well made but so small on my bow you can only just gat a foot in to hold it down. If you can touch your toes you may be able to use it complete waist of money
